01

Responsive model discovery

PrintForge presents 3D-printable models through a responsive interface designed for quick visual browsing. The layout adapts from a wide desktop collection to a focused mobile experience while keeping navigation and model information accessible.

02

Search and category filtering

Visitors can narrow the collection through text search and category navigation. Filtering is reflected directly in the model grid, helping users move from a broad collection to relevant printable designs.

03

Reusable dynamic detail pages

Each model opens through a dynamic route backed by shared project data. Reusable components keep imagery, categories, descriptions, and engagement details consistent without creating a separate page implementation for every model.

Engineering trade-off

Challenge

The model collection needed individual detail pages without duplicating page components and layout code for every item.

Decision

I used dynamic Next.js routes backed by shared model data. Reusable card and detail components render the appropriate content based on the selected model while preserving a consistent interface.

Production path

The current course-based dataset can later be replaced with an API or database. A production version would also add validated submissions, pagination, loading and error states, and optimized model assets.
